Coffee Liqueur Ice Cream Pie

Coffee Liqueur Ice Cream Pie
by Jennifer Carlisle

I have made this pie for a few different occasions. It's great for all kinds of adult celebrations. The last time I made it was for my brother's 30th birthday and I wrote Happy Birthday on it with Nutella (chocolate-hazelnut spread). Because of the liqueur though I would not serve it to children. It doesn't have very much that it will hurt them, but it does have some. It's a dessert you don't have to feel obligated to share with your children :)

Ingredients:
-1 pre-made chocolate crust ( can be found down the baking aisle with the other graham cracker premade crusts)
-1- 1.5 quart container of Coffee ice cream, softened (leave out on the counter for several minutes) *the Breyer's brand is usually what i can find at the store or try your local ice cream shop)
-6 tbsps liqueur such as Kahlua, Bailey's or Godiva chocolate liqueur
-*optional-chocolate sauce, cookies, sprinkles, chocolate chips, Nutella and whipped cream for decoration

With a stand mixer or in a large bowl with a hand beater, blend softenend icecream with any liqueur of your choice. Feel free to add more or less liqueur if you prefer. Once the ice cream and liqueur has been blended, pour and spread the ice cream mixture into the pie crust, cover and place in the freezer for 2 hours then decorate any way you like. Then place it back in the freezer for another hour or until ready to serve.
