Cinnamon Apples are a great side to serve with your favorite pork or chicken dish. I am a big fan of cinnamon and I love how this dish can be served with a hearty meal or in a bowl with a large scoop of ice cream.

Ingredients:
- 3-4 large-medium baking apples (gala, honey crisp, granny smith, etc.) cleaned, peeled, cored and sliced
-2 tbsp butter
- 1-2 tbsp lemon juice (juice of about 1/2 fresh lemon)
-1 tsp cinnamon
-1/4 tsp salt
-1/4 cup light brown sugar
-1/4 cup white granulated sugar

Clean, peel, core, and slice apples. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Once butter has melted add apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, salt, brown sugar, and granulated sugar; stir together well. Continue to cook apples over medium heat for approximately 10-15 min. or until apples become tender. While the apples are cooking, the sugars will begin to caramelize and thicken the sauce for the apples, giving you that delicious taste. Serve as a side with a nice juicy pork chop or with some creamy vanilla ice cream.
