Easy Shrimp Fettucine Alfredo

Shrimp Fettucine Alfredo
by Jennifer Carlisle

Fettucine and Alfredo is good with chicken, crab and shrimp. I have made this dish with all of these ingredients and pretty much the same way. It's easy and delicious. I don't have a recipe for Alfredo sauce, someday I hope to try to make my own, but until then I will use the jar stuff. And because I use the jar stuff, I like to add the butter and garlic to the shrimp, chicken or crab. I hope you enjoy this dish!

Ingredients:
-1 1/2- 2 cups frozen mini cooked shrimp, deveined, tails and shells removed You can use fresh shrimp too
-2 tbsp butter
-1 tsp minced garlic
-salt and pepper to taste
-1 lb. fettucine pasta
- 1 jar Alfredo sauce

Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions, set aside. Rinse shrimp, drain well. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter, add shrimp, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook til shrimp is heated through, about 5 minutes. If using the frozen cooked shrimp, which is pink, it's already cooked, so you just have to reheat it. If using fresh uncooked shrimp, it's grey and should cook a little longer in the pan until it is completely cooked through, it will turn pink. Add Alfredo sauce, heat together. Add pasta, toss to coat.
Serve with a salad or garlic bread and a glass of white wine.
