Hungarian Fried Potatoes
Hungarian Fried Potatoes

Growing up in my Grandma's house, paprika, especially Hungarian paprika, was something that was used daily. It's good with lots of things, one of them being fried potatoes. They add that little kick that tastes great with your eggs and bacon in the morning. Change things up a little bit in the morning by making these potatoes with Hungarian paprika. You won't regret it!
Ingredients:
-3-4 potatoes, cleaned, peeled and diced (about 1 medium potato per person)
-1 small onion, diced
-1 tsp minced garlic (about 2 cloves)
-salt and pepper to taste
-1 tbsp olive oil
-1 tbsp butter
-1/8 tsp Hungarian Hot Paprika
Directions:
Clean, peel and dice potatoes. Dice onion and garlic. In a large skillet over medium-high heat add butter and oil, then add potatoes. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, then add onion, garlic, salt, pepper and paprika. Stir well to coat potatoes. Cover and continue to cook on medium- low heat for about 10 minutes. Stir or flip potatoes and cook for another 10 minutes, or until potatoes are tender. Stir as needed, but try to keep to a minimum. Serve as a side with breakfast, lunch or dinner.
