SuperBowl Sundae Bar

SuperBowl Sundae Bar

No matter what size crowd you have gathered at your place to watch the big game, this Sundae Bar is great for serving family, friends and guests. It is up to you on how large you want to make it and how much of a variety you want. The great thing about a Sundae Bar is people are allowed to help serve themselves, and it is easy to assemble with less mess. And who doesn't love making their own ice cream sundae!?!

Super Bowl Sundae Bar Ingredients:

Ice cream:
It's up to you on the variety and flavors you would like to offer your guests, but for me I think less ice cream flavors and more ice cream toppings are the best bet. But by all means do what you think is best :)
The traditional flavors most people will expect to see are: Vanilla, Chocolate, Cookies and Cream, Cookie Dough and Strawberry.
If you would like to be a little different there is Coffee, Butter Pecan, Cherry, Peach, Birthday Cake, Mint Chocolate Chip and the list goes on and on.
I would say offer up to 3 different ice cream flavors, simple is sometimes just easier.
Keep the ice cream cool by setting it on top of a cooler with ice, you probably already have one for the beer, why not one more.

Toppings:
When making ice cream sundaes, let's be honest, the toppings is where it's at. People love to load their sundaes with unusual or traditional flavors. So have a variety of the traditional toppings like chocolate sauce, whipped cream and sprinkles, but also serve a couple of unsual ingredients such as flavored liqeuers (adults only), warm pears with brandy (adults only), granola, broken pieces of baked pie crust, or sodas to make a float (for the kiddies).

Toppings:
-Chocolate Sauce, Nutella, Peanut Butter, Caramel Sauce, Strawberry Sauce, Jam/Jelly, Chocolate Chips, Mint Chocolate Chips, Sprinkles, Nuts, Granola, Coconut, Marshmallows,
-Cereals (such as Lucky Charms, Fruity Pebbles or Cookie Crisp),
-Fruits (berries, bananas, cherries, pineapple, peaches, pears, apples),
-Whipped Cream, Cool Whip, Cool Whip Frostings,
-Candy Bars (Snickers, M&Ms, Rolos, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, York Peppermint Patties, Heath, Kit Kat, Hersheys, Twix...the list goes on),
-Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips,  Cookies, Broken Pieces of Baked Pie Crust, Brownies,
-Flavored Liqeuers, and Sodas for Floats (cream soda, root beer, diet coke, coke, cherry coke, green river, raspberry soda, cherry soda, orange soda, strawberry soda)

Provide as many toppings as you wish and can afford. People will be just as satisfied if you only serve vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, whipped cream and sprinkles. You don't have to spend a lot of money and go all out. But think of it this way though, I'm sure you have a few of these items or items similar to them in your pantry that you could use. So take a look in your pantry, help clear some stuff out, and wow your guests with unique toppings and flavors to add to a traditional vanilla ice cream. People will love trying all the different combinations.

And don't forget the cups, cones, bowls, spoons, scoops and straws.

I hope that you make this awesome Super Bowl Sundae Bar a part of your Party on Super Bowl Sunday every year! I promise you and your guests will enjoy it!! Cause who doesn't love ice cream!?!

Oh, and Don't Forget the Cherry on Top!
