Mint Julep Brownies
Mint Julep Brownies

This summer was the summer of Bourbon for my husband and I- a great summer! I have plenty of bourbon inspired dishes to share here with you all and I am planning on doing that sometime soon. But for now here is a simple and delicious recipe that even the Jim Beam company complimented me on. Hope you all enjoy!!
Ingredients:
1 box brownie mix
Enough bourbon to replace water in the box recipe (I used 1/4 cup of Jim Beam)
1/2 box chocolate mint candies (about 16-20 pieces) (I used Fannie May Mint Meltaways- you can use any others York peppermint patties, Frango Mints, etc)
Mix in a medium bowl-brownie mix, bourbon, oil, and eggs according to package directions. Pour half the batter into a greased 8"x8" pan. Place candies in a layer then top with the rest of the brownie batter. Spread evenly. Bake at 325 F for 50-55 min. Let cool completely before cutting into.
